Second place Star Room. I actually held second and third for Yew Crossroads at one point too, but I think I’ve been bumped down a few spots.

Actually, I’ve left the slander thing to others for years now - and I have little desire to change that. Hell, it’s not like my site is or was ever a shining example of intriguing content.
As far as some kind of personal vendetta as a reason to post something like that, there is none. I suppose the rift was caused by IPY, but there’s enough blame for what went on back then to be spread around in equal parts. I fully admit that I should have been more mature and cool headed in the way I handled a lot of things back then.
Hell, I understand why Rixus sold gold and released the server files, I understand why Xirri put up a huge lie about it to get back at me for shutting it down, I realize why the trolls and the griefers did what they did, I realize why the players were such shitheads sometimes (and how I enabled that), and I definitely realize why the WTFMan/NH split happened. And like I said, I certainly wasn’t blameless. I had a lot to learn about not blowing my top over shit (fuck, still do), and I had a lot to learn about managing a team of people (most of whom were around for the *right* reasons - NH included). In fact, I think NH did a fantastic job on a lot of the administrative stuff that he worked on.
I did *my* job wrong back then, it begins and ends there. Every problem existed because I was too inexperienced to head it off, correct it when it happened, and manage the people correctly (both players and my staff) in between.

There we go, had another go at both of them.
Crushed the Star Room, and have a screen shot of the last boss if anyone wants to look at my setup for a strategy cheat sheet for the level. I won’t give out my super secret point allocations, spending timing, or anything else - but there’s my champion setup. I’d change several things though, and I’m confident that I can hit around 18000-19000 next time I try the level.

Bah, I’ve lost my touch. I’m scoring 16000 every time, no matter what I do. Stupid ass game. I wanted a nice stomping 18000 or 19000 so I could quit on top.

After checking the scores again, people are getting like 25k in the Star Room. In fact, all of the scores are getting astronomical. But that one really perplexes me.
Either people have found some sort of exploitish maneuver for increasing points like a mofo, or I just really, really suck ass.
