By the way - I'll consider "fixing it" for 50% royalties. Just putting that out there.

I'd have guaranteed double subscription rates in 2003. 2008? I have no idea. Probably not, unless you could really refine the new client.

Of course, I have ideas for that too.

By the way, you'd never camp my house or own me. I'm fucking elite, noob. My dueling skills were top 10 on IPY - Top 5 considering how many people were scripting shit.

Maybe I'll start an Azaroth.org Quake 3 server. Fuck I'm elite with a railgun.

Mm, I think I tend to reference the timeframe, the social dynamics, and the situation more than I reference the game itself.

The actual game Ultima Online is horribly dated and simply not in a complete state for 2008. Basically people hop on player run shards to macro up character unattended and then go out and script-pvp their enemies into piles of rubble. Over and over.

Then they quit.

That's what the game has degenerated into, and without a lot of rethinking and retooling, that's all it'll be. It's just not the same game it used to be because of the change in times, programs like EasyUO, player's familiarity with the mechanics of the game, and on and on. It's because Quake with (macro) skillups.

Can you fix that?

Sure.

Would you want to?

Probably not. Just make a new game.
