Okay kids, listen up. This is important.
Regardless of what you think about the official story, or politics of the situation, or whatever else - whatever side you’re on in whatever debate you’re in - there’s one thing that everyone knows isn’t bullshit:
There were a lot of very heroic, truly heroic, people who ran TOWARD the rubble on September 11th, 01. These people are REAL heroes, and right now they’re sick and they’re dying. There’s been jack in help from the American government, even after slimeball fucks like Giuliani (and many others) attached themselves to these amazing people for their own political gain, and then simply disregarded them in a fashion showing what kind of people they truly are behind their cloak of smoke and bullshit.
Fuck them. But this isn’t about them. Moving on, because they’re not worth the time.
Right now, George Martin, a former Defensive End for the New York Giants is WALKING across America to raise $10 million for the heroes of 9/11.
He’s walking.
Across America.
Fuck.
Despite what a terribly fucking sad commentary that is on the state of America and what a bunch of fucking tools every single politician in the world is, facts are facts. $160 BILLION was just earmarked for the Iraq war. A fresh $160 Billion of YOUR tax dollars. Yet it takes some guy fucking walking across America to get $10 MILLION, in donations from real people, just to get a little care for the most heroic people in the country.
Problem is - they’re only about 20% to their goal of ten million, and the walk is almost over. It started in September, and it’s ending next month.
Right now, you should be enraged. Spitting nickels.
Spit your nickels in the direction of www.ajourneyfor911.info. Skip the next pizza you’d eat during the NBA playoffs, tighten your belt up a little, and donate a few bucks.
