Entertainment can be a small spot of joy in life, even if it’s a mixed blessing to the species in general. But sometimes, you need that small spot of joy. Or at least, things are going in such a way for you that you really look forward to it. Sometimes you just need a good distraction. Suspend your skills of logic for a short period of time and enjoy yourself.

Without further commentary on subjects that dont’ belong on this blog, here is a list of entertainment media that I am looking forward to in no particular order:

• The Biggest Loser 7.

I can’t figure out why people still watch a group of losers eat rice on an island, and I can’t figure out why the fuck people watch a bunch of nobodies sing for an hour (unless we’re talking about the first episode, which is often hi-fucking-larious).

But for some reason, I’ve always loved The Biggest Loser. Not even in a funny way, either.

These people are struggling to literally save their own lives, and they actually achieve something at the end beyond a big cash prize. Ah, plus, I’ve always had a crush on Jillian. That helps.

• Quantum of Solace.

I’ve got a problem here, too. I have no idea how many times I’ve seen Casino Royale. But it’s too many.

In fact, the most embarassing problem about THIS guilty pleasure is that I fell completely in love with Eva Green as Vesper Lynd, and am genuinely upset every time she dies at the end. In fact, I’m somewhat put off on the idea of watching the sequel just because she won’t be in it.

But it was a good fucking movie, and I want to see the sequel. Daniel Craig is the best Bond of my generation, and the difference is even more striking after coming off of those AWFUL Pierce Brosnan movies.

• Warhammer Online

Really, though. I’m not even ENTIRELY sure why.  The classes are a complete ripoff of WoW, and.. well, pretty much the entire game is a ripoff of WoW. Maybe that’s why I want to play. It’s like WoW, just… not WoW. Maybe more like WoW when it first released. You know, when it was a good game.

• Darkfall Beta

Ah. Aha. Just kidding. Don’t hold your breath on this one, please. I won’t be.

• A New President

If I can convince myself to buy into the storyline and believe that this makes some sort of difference, it’ll be a very calming romp. At least for a while, until everyone breaks character and the storyline falls apart. But then there’ll be a sequel, and we can all calm down again and enjoy the show for another four years.

• KOTOR Online

I have no idea when this is going to be released. Probably not for a long ass time. But I’m so playing the shit out of it.
