IPY 2.0/3.0 Programmer Call

by Azaroth | August 16th, 2009

If you’re interested in being part of a visible and successful online gaming project, this may be an opportunity for you.

If you’re looking for work in the field or are trying to move into a better position within a company dealing with any type of online game, you may also be interested. After your tour of duty, a quality reference to several companies in the online gaming industry can be provided.

What I’m looking for is applications from people with strong programming (C#) knowledge who can demonstrate past work as well as provide a resume complete with references.  Experienced students are welcome to apply as long as information about your school and a contact (phone numbers, names, email addresses) for your teachers is provided.

Email azaroth@gmail.com with your application and resume. If you’re a solid applicant with time to devote to the project, chances are you’ll be seriously looked at for a spot. Don’t worry too much about spending the time to apply for a position and not getting looked at. There’s a lot of work to be done.

If you’re just a UO fan with no particular programming ability, consider thinking about passing the message on to any friends of yours who may be interested. The better our coders, the better the experience, and the quicker you have a place to play and the better everything turns out.

In the meantime, non-programming individuals are encouraged to participate in design discussions posted on this blog.

  1. Did you recieve any applications yet?

  2. Yeah, but I haven’t exhausted my main options yet. This blog is an isolated community of ex-IPYers who only stop by once in a while (because I only talk about UO sometimes).

Not that I don’t appreciate the interest already. ;)
