TRAILER: Michael Moore’s ‘Capitalism: A Love Story’
As much as I hate spreading pseudo-anti-capitalst schlock created, marketed and distributed by capitalists – I hate Michael Moore even more.
But the only way to get any kind of majority of people listening is with things like this. Don’t get me to explain the paradox (at least on this one, I haven’t seen it).
So while I’m assuming I’m probably doing a BAD thing by promoting this movie, here’s hoping there’s enough of a basic message takeaway in this one that it makes people who usually spend their Friday nights watching American Idol actually think a little for a change.
Spoiler? My guess is that this movie targets capitalism and promotes increased government control over absolutely everything now that the saviour Uncle Obama is in office. (If you REALLY need a mass media someone to talk shit about Obama for you to start getting it, check out Matt Taibi’s article in the July 2009 issue of Rolling Stone… that’s right, it’s the one with The Jonas Brothers on the cover. Good enough?)
BUBBLE #6 Global Warming
Fast-forward to today. It’s early June in Washington, D.C. Barack Obama, a popular young politician whose leading private campaign donor was an investment bank called Goldman Sachs
Gone are Hank Paulson and Neel Kashkari; in their place are Treasury chief of staff Mark Patterson and CFTC chief Gary Gensler, both former Goldmanites. (Gensler was the firm’s cohead of finance.) And instead of credit derivatives or oil futures or mortgage-backed CDOs, the new game in town, the next bubble, is in carbon credits — a booming trillion dollar market that barely even exists yet, but will if the Democratic Party that it gave $4,452,585 to in the last election manages to push into existence a groundbreaking new commodities bubble, disguised as an “environmental plan,” called cap-and-trade.
The joke here in my hatred of Moore is that while I assume this movie is ANTI Capitalism (or at least what it’s become), the trailer shows a gun-toting man talking about revolution. In his first movie, Moore promoted strict gun controls that would prevent any type of revolution from ever happening. Because as we all know, the safest route to liberty is for the government to have all the guns. What ever could go wrong?

this is all you have to watch to prove how fucking stupid and a piece of shit michael moore is.
When asked by Alex Jones why he did not address the key issues in his documentary on 911, moore responded “That would be un-american”
I hate his guts.

I don’t think American Idol is televised on Friday nights. I wouldn’t know from experience… I’m just saying…
I want to reply. I won’t (except this psuedo-post). I think that speaks for itself.
PS – So fat
Me or Michael Moore?
MM
Good, I was totally insulted there for a minute.
By the way – Moore’s movies are entertaining if you can turn your brain off. I’m not getting completely negative, just incase anyone really like Michael Moore and such.
